Story

How do,

A bit of an update.  Been doing a fair bit of walking, went up Scafell at the end of March but could only get 3/4s of the way up due to snow.  Mainly do a route round Rivington, Winter Hill, Great Hill and Chorley Nab, can provide details if anyone's interested...

Can't wait for the rowing and running!

After biking it to work decided not so hot on the cycling, but should be able to wing it on the day!

Thanks to all of you who've sponsored me, you are AWESOME people.  If you are seeing this page for the first time please sponsor me, it's for a top charity, Action for Children.

Thank you

Hello everybody,

For one day in May I will be taking on a challenge, the likes of which haven't been seen since the days of Christopher Columbus, Edmund Hillary, Robert F Scott, and most recently, Owen Coyle.

I am joining a group of colleagues to take on a challenge begining in the morning with the aim of finishing before the sun goes down (hence the snappy title...'Beat the Moon'!!).  The day begins with a 9 mile cycle from the top end of lake Windermere to the Langdales, where the ascent of Sca Fell Pike will begin.  We will then descend the other side of England's highest peak to Wastwater, where canoes will be waiting for us to row the length of the lake.  A cheeky 1 mile run back along the lake's edge will complete the challenge.

My aim is to raise £600 for our chosen charity, Action for children.  If you do decide to sponsor me, your money will be spent towards helping young adults, children in care, and disabled children to have a better standard of living.  What more is there to say?

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you
