I running for the Macular Disease Society, perhaps not one your are familar with.

AMD (Age related Mancular Degeneration)  is the commonest cause of blindness in the UK.

In developed countries it’s estimated that one in 50 people over 50 years of age, and up to one in five people over the age of 85 have AMD.  In recent years my Mum had developed this condition. Currently, there's no reliably proven medical treatment,
