Child Rescue Nepal frees children from slavery. We rescue children, keep them safe and reunite them with their families. Child Rescue Nepal has rescued over 1,000 children but our work is far from over. We want to end child slavery in Nepal and we won’t stop until every child is free.

Story

Thanks for being here.  As you know, I like a bit of a run, but this one's to raise cash and awareness for Child Rescue Nepal.  It's a great charity, headed up by my pal, Jo Bega.

Child Rescue Nepal frees children from slavery. Slavery and forced labour are complex issues, but there are estimated to be 5.5 million children in the world today who are exploited in this way, including nearly 100,000 in Nepal.  They're working in hazardous situations, being exploited for someone else’s gain.

We know that these children are extremely vulnerable and almost always suffering from physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Child Rescue Nepal has rescued 650 children, taken them to a place of safety and, where possible, reunited them with their families.

They understand that this is a delicate and nuanced issue and they work with local partners who really understand the issues on the ground.

There's lots more to do; please stump up for this great cause.
