WeSeeHope is a charity committed to creating sustainable change for vulnerable children in East Africa through education, child rights and economic empowerment initiatives.

Story

In 1986 I cycled alone from Paris to Hayling Island to raise  money for Cot Death research. I had friends who had lost one of their twin daughters as a result of this tragic syndrome.  This one off peddle has evolved into  The Paris To Hayling Charity Cycle Ride (www.hayling-cycle-ride.org,uk) which has attracted more than 3000 entries and raised over £1.4m for more than 500 different charities .  It is almost certainly the oldest multi- day charity cycle ride in the country and quite possibly the world. On 12th July I shall be starting off on my 30th annual ride. The route long ago  evolved into a two way ride which starts in Hayling and will this year cover 400 miles of cycling .  I hope you can sponsor me and thereby raise money for the charity  HOPEHIV (www.hopehiv.org) which helps 10s of 1000s of children and adolescents  in sub-Saharan Africa.  All money collected will be matched by my employer Qlik   .
