Story

Hi,

Thanks for visiting my page.

Just before Christmas, my wife, Justine, was diagnosed with breast cancer and hence the year 2011 has not quite been what we were expecting.

Justine is currently in the midst of chemotherapy and doing well, in particular being very brave.

We are getting fantastic support from family, friends, work (and the NHS!) which is making a tremendous difference - thank you to all.

A small effort on my part will be to do the 'Bling Fling' 10km walk.

Whilst this lacks the athletic suffering of a marathon,  cross country cycle or a trek somewhere exotic, any lack of physical pain will be replaced by joy of walking in a pink T-shirt (and perhaps a tiara) with a few thousand women for several hours.

An aim of the Bling Fling is to raise money for the a new Breast Cancer Care Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where Justine is getting treatment.

Please donate anything you can manage.

Much appreciated,

Pete

p.s. Update:  Now I've found them (on JustGiving), I've joined the "St. Joseph Mum's Team" who go me started on this adventure into pink and Bling.  I bet they can't wait for 10km of footy talk (including the offside rule).
