Illness, accidents and childbirth complications can be catastrophic for those living in remote and isolated areas. Hours or days of overland travel to reach the hospital are simply not an option for those with life-threatening medical problems. In these cases MAF is often the only way to reach the hospital in time. MAF conducts thousands of medical emergency flights every year, saving countless lives.
