The Samson Centre for MS helps improve the quality of life for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis in and around West Surrey and is based in Guildford. We provide physiotherapy, oxygen & other therapies, information & support to those with the disease and practical help to their carers & families.

Story

My family has been connected with Samson almost as long as i can remember. My mum started working with them as a Physio and soon we were all involved in helping at street collections, Christmas Fares, Race Horses and painting.

The Centre provides much needed support for local people with MS and their families. It is all encompassing from the physical to the psychological, and from my experience it is everyone becomes part of the family.

WHAT AM I DOING?

Ride London Surrey 100 - is a 100 mile bike ride from London, out to the Surrey Hills and back - the overall climb will be over 1,200m. I hope to be able to complete it in under 8 hours including drink stops etc.

I only started road biking last year and I remember being so impressed with my friend Tony and cousins Gi and Jer who took part in this event last year. I am still fairly new to this and still refuse to wear lycra although I do have a chamois (you don’t want to know), this is going to be very tough for me, but I am determined to not only finish the 100 miles but to make a respectable time as well.

Finally, just so you know every penny donated is going to the charity, I have personally donated the entry fee that is usually taken for people to partake in the event.

If you are able then please do support me and Samson, with whatever you can.

Cheers

Peter
