We are undertaking a cycle ride to the war graves of Ypres in Belgium in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.

Our cycle ride will leave  the Cenotaph in Stanford le Hope, Essex at 08.00 on November 9th.  We plan to arrive in Ypres on November 11th, Armistice day, in time to attend the 2 minutes silence.  We will then proceed to cycle to a number of the Trenches and Memorials in the surrounding area.  On November 12th we will leave to cycle via some of the locations of the Battle of the Somme aiming to arrive back at the Stanford le Hope Cenotaph on Sunday 14th in time to join the Memorial parade and again participate in the 2 minutes silence.  During the planned ride we will attempt cover approximately 400 miles in 5 days.

For every family unfortunate enough to lose a loved one in active service there are 6 that have had their lives turned up side down due to injuries sustained.  Help for Heroes has been established to assist with the rehabilitation of our wounded servicement and women and the long term assistance that they and their family may require.
