Story

I do have great colleagues. They keep the days when I am working away from home fun and entertaining. Never before like this, though...

As some of you may know I am not born in the UK. The diversity, sincerety and activity of the various charities is part of the culture I am still learning and valuing. I see it as one of the great features of this society. So I am enthusiastic now when these same colleagues take me with them on a journey of personal challenge that enables me to help others. On the 6th November I will have the opportunity to walk barefoot over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees at Derby Conference Centre.

If you want to know more about the event, here is the website of the charity.

Oh yes, there will be some coaching and a famous motivator will try to hypnotise us all to not feel anything, but still it is bloody 800 degrees. That's hotter than Cha-cha-cha or even a Tango. So it's not something I have done before.

My friends over in the dance world: imagine these people the charity helps, would never see the best of you dance. You will not have the ability to inspire their emotions with your movements. The charity does many things that helps them otherwise. If you can't take them with you to dance and move them that way, you can leave it to the charity to help the best way they can by donating here.

My friends in all other walks of life, you are my friends because of who you are. So I am behind this charity and I know you are behind me - regardless of whether you are donating or not. At least think of me on the 6th November.
