Visiting Petra has always been on my bucket list for the obvious reason, so when the Stars Appeal announced that the next Trek would be to Petra I jumped at the opportunity. Not only to tick one more activity of my bucket list but also be able to raise funds for the Stars Appeal.

I work as a Sister in the Emergency Department at Salisbury District Hospital.I thoroughly enjoy my chosen profession and see at first hand the fantastic work and support that happens within the department and the greater hospital.

This arduous challenge is dedicated to my good friend and neighbour Jamie Braybrook who’s life was so cruelly taken by Cancer. Jamie was an ex military man, ferociously family orientated and a fantastic character who loved the outdoors and trekking. We met 17 years ago when Jamie and Kathy moved in next door and because both of our families were associated with the military we hit it off from the start, a friendship that never wavered. Jamie sadly lost his battle on the 28th of August 2020.
