I've signed up to run the Berlin Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK, a fantastic charity that funds research into diagnosis and treatment as well as supporting sufferers and their families. My goal is to raise AT LEAST £500. Let's see what we can do!

10, 000 men a year are killed by this illness and it is likely to be the most deadly cancer in the country within a few years, as current diagnosis is poor and funding increasingly scarce. 

I'm proud to be supporting this campaign and this charity, and traveling to the great city of Berlin where I shall give it my all, and see if I can improve on the time of my one previous marathon. I'm currently fit and relatively healthy, so hope to make what contribution I can. One day I may be needing someone else to. 

Cancers of various sorts have become more prevalent as our median lifespan increases, and all of us have lost people we love to at least one sort or another.
