Story

Welcome to the fundraising page of #TeamHolbrook. With the recent passing of my loving and much loved wife, Gillian, it seems natural and correct to rename #TeamSally, in order to honour, recognise  and commemorate the lives of two fantastic, treasured and very special women who have enriched my life. Established in September 2014, #TeamSally raised over £50,000 by September 2021. From May 2016 Gillian came into my life and immediately embraced the idea of fundraising for our local hospice. Her artistic flair, ideas and organisation skills, along with her selfless, caring and supportive attitude, coupled with her love for me and mine for her, resulted in a rapid increase in the money raised each year by the team. Over the years, we have encouraged people to be involved in, or support challenges, and they have always been considered members of the team. Many have either organised or participated in events, or made suggestions for future activities! #TeamHolbrook will continue to provide new opportunities for people to fundraise, as well as repeat old favourites! Please keep up to date with our activities and join in as and when you can, to support this excellent local charity. Thank you for your support! ❤️ Alice House Hospice exists to ensure people affected by a life limiting illness or the death of a loved one have the care, comfort and support they need.
