Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Page. My name is Phil and I am raising money for Doctors of the World UK by running a 5 km this December.
As many of you know, I already spend my day running around Doctors of the World clinic. As its manager, why do I also need to run for it during my spare time?
To continue our work, we still need to secure crucial funding for 2019.
Every day I help people in vulnerable circumstances access the healthcare they need, be it registering with a GP surgery or an urgent treatment at the A&E. Many of our patients travel for well over 5 km to reach us. But that is nothing compared to the barriers they face daily.
So I am taking on the challenge! Together with some volunteers, I have committed to running this 5 km dressed in a Santa costume. The training along the clinic’s corridor will be strenuous. The shoes will be polished. The Santa costume will be sparkly.
I just need your help!
Every donation will help doctors provide medical care to the most vulnerable at Christmas.
Your support can change lives. Are you in?
Thank you very much for your support to this wonderful cause.
Doctors of the World provides medical care to vulnerable people in over 80 countries, whether it’s providing urgent medical care in Yemen, giving mental healthcare to refugees in Greece, or work with excluded people in the UK.
