Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the end of November 2017 my dad - Phil Whyman Snr - was given 6 months to live; he didn't even make it to 3 months. He was 70.

Seeing someone who had so much strength and character reduced to essentially a bag of bones in such a short time was devastating; for me, my family, and all of his friends. Make no mistake; cancer is a bastard.

So, on Saturday 10th August 2019, in memory of my dad - and for all of those affected by cancer young and old - I will be taking to the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise funds for Cancer Research; it's almost the same distance as a full marathon, but with mountains. I will be accompanied by my son Ben, and good mates Dan Wright, Wayne Dean, and Graeme Croft. With support on the way by my lovely wife Sara.

Please do consider donating - as much or as little as you like. Cancer will touch us all in some form or other during our lives.

Many thanks.
