Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Don't ask me why, maybe I just enjoy pain, but I've entered the London Marathon again this year.
This time I was lucky enough to obtain my place through a ballot at the GLA for the five places we were fortunate enough to receive. As a result, I did not have to purchase a charity place with a minimum fundraising target like I had to last year. However, I do not want to miss this opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause, so this year I have joined Team Macmillan and am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
As well as the London Marathon I have already run the London Winter Run on 1 February, the Bath, Cambridge and North London Half Marathons on 1, 8 and 15 March, and I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon on 10 May and the Great South Run on 25 October. So by the end of the year I should have run nearly 100 miles of races. Not bad for a decrepit 55 year old!
