Caroline Vig & Philip Sharp are undertaking a 250km cycle challenge on 30th April - 3rd May. Given Caroline's bike was last used back in the 80s and the furthest I have ever cycled is about 100km this is going to be a bit of a hardship!

However, this is nothing compared to the lives of the families that HABB helps. HABB do a wonderful job in helping improve the lives of families going through major hardships. This can be families affected by a child's disabilities or a major illness which has impacted their ability to work. The help comes in many different forms, depending on the need:

Regular quarterly payments to people who are struggling to get by, especially if they are unable to work temporarily or permanently. e.g. because of a chronic illness, disability or mental health issues. They help with emergency one-off grants to help with a short-term crisis, such as the purchase of essential household appliances or mobility items which bring independence. Providing children under 16 with holiday money or providing a clothing allowance. They purchase Christmas and birthday presents for special cases. They also help people learn new skills with training and equipment.
