Philippa and Ruth are braving the shave!!!

Shaving off our hair · 1 March 2019
Most of us are affected by cancer in some way at some time. We would love to raise a lot of money for our local hospice. It Provides essential support for terminally ill people and can only do this with charitable support. Whilst cures are being sought, people and their families still need this vital end of life care.
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
On the first of March, in Advanced Recovery of main theatres at Leicester General Hospital at 12.30pm, 2 trusted colleagues are performing a buzz cut on Ruth Taylor and myself. Louise and Jo (both hairdressers in a former life!) have both been affected by cancer!
We are not trying to look like we are having chemotherapy, we don't think for a minute that by having a buzz cut we will know what it is like to endure this gruelling treatment. We can't grow a Movember, Fanuary is very last year and our knees won't take a marathon so BALD it is!
I am going to send my locks to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children who have lost theirs.
Help us make some money please!
