Jessica Johnson is raising money for St Raphael's Hospice
In memory of Phillip Johnson
St Raphael's Hospice offers the best of palliative care to terminally ill patients in south west London and Surrey. Medical, nursing and support staff do everything possible to relieve pain and sustain quality of life in an atmosphere of peace and comfort, for patients of all faith or none.

Story

Our father/husband (Phillip Johnson) recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. In the last few months of his life, he was under the care of nurses at St Raphael's Hospice.

The hospice provided 24/7 medical care and practical help when it was most needed. The nurses at St Raphael's understood it was a scary time, didn't shy away from the realities of dying and Dad felt comforted having their support. While Dad never stayed at the hospice (due to the strict - and understandable - coronavirus rules), the hospice was a large part of all our lives for a while.

During his life, Dad raised money for many charities, and often felt the need to give back. As the hospice was so helpful (and receive only 25% funding from the government), Dad expressed a wish to raise money for it. This is why we are asking for donations to St Raphael's Hospice in lieu of flowers, and in memory of Dad. Thank you.
