Story
Manolos, Christian Laboutins and fancy frocks to one side - on Thursday November 12th 2009 - Indian summer night or minus 3 degrees and only 7 days from now - I have chosen to sleep on the streets of London and replace my bed for a cardboard box, to have just the tiniest insight experiencing what thousands face as their only option every single day. It is my challenge, along with others, to raise a sum of money to allow Centrepoint's Christmas charity pot to be a little fuller and change someone else's Christmas this year.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
There has been no greater time to create change. Although most of us are having to count our pennies right now I only have a few days to raise sponsorship, so please push the donate button now and give whatever you are able - however great or small a sum. Please know that it all helps someone somewhere this Christmas time benefit. Nearly all of us in our times of need don't have to turn far to find the love, care and support of family and close friends nor do we stop to recognise the safe and warm environment that we have every single night. It is just normal. I am hoping that the monies I raise on November 12th will allow the many that don't have this as their 'normal' just to experience something a little different.
Thank you to all of you who are supporting me to do this .....it is so appreciated.
