Phillippa's Marathon (& a Half!)

This year the 19th May, will mark 9 years since Dan and I lost our mum. Not one day in the last 9 years has passed without missing her and wishing I could share my children, achievements, happinesses and heartaches with her.
She would have turned 60 in January and would have loved to share her celebrations with family and friends. As a present, and in her memory I wanted to do something special. I wanted to mark the occasion by raising money for those who suffer the effects of domestic abuse, be that it’s victims or their families.
This year I also wanted to tick some things off my bucket list (before the big 3-0) and a marathon seemed stupid enough!
EDIT - Gus and I were intending to run the Windermere Marathon (as the lakes were one of my mums favourite places) on 19th May 2019. However due to shoulder surgery I have had to change the plan to Chester Half Marathon this weekend, and Chester Full in October.
I would personally appreciate any donations as the last 9 years that we’ve experienced as a family, although full of many many wonderful things, have been missing a very important person as a result of domestic abuse and if I can stop that happening for just one family I’d be happy!
