Story
Hi there,
As many of you know I am running the Race to the Stones ultra marathon on 9th July. The race is 100km from Lewknor to Avebury along Britain’s oldest path.
I’d love to use the opportunity to raise some money for an incredibly important and personal cause and hopefully provide some extra motivation during the most testing miles!
I’ve chosen to fundraise for Amna Charity, formerly the Refugee Trauma Initiative. Amna specialises in supporting the psychosocial wellbeing and mental health of refugees and other displaced communities.
They help communities to manage the insecurity, stress and trauma that comes from conflict and forced displacement. And are currently responding to the crises and devastation in both Afghanistan and Ukraine.
If you are interested in finding out anymore about the charity please have a look at the links below
And finally a huge and heartfelt thank you for all the support since beginning my training in February and I’ve loved the many conversations on why on earth I’d choose to do this and hopefully this explains a little more!
