Hi all!

I am running the Bath Half Marathon on March 11th for the charity Arthritis Research UK. Arthritis is a painful and restricting condition that affects about 10 million people in the UK. Around 1 in every 1000 children are affected by arthritis and many sufferers are between 30 and 50 - it does not just affect older people. 

I have seen how this agonising condition can affect people first hand; my Nana suffered with it for many years, it really made her life incredibly difficult and took many of the pleasures of being a grandmother away from her. I hope that I can make a real contribution to help Arthritis Research UK give hope to others who are suffering. 

Arthritis Research UK funds world-class research into technologies and therapies to help sufferers stay active and raises awareness of a condition that can have hugely debilitating affects on millions yet often slips under the radar.
