On the 14th of May I will be running the Plymouth Half Marathon, raising funds for Basis Yorkshire. This is a charity which means a lot to me, having worked with them for a year during my degree. 

Their work advocates for people who are too often overlooked within wider discussions around humans rights and violence towards women and young people. Basis provides a voice for these marginalised groups. They also deliver essential services for young people at risk of exploitation within Yorkshire, allowing these young people to access information and services to reduce further risk.

Basis Yorkshire empowers women and young people to stay safe and make positive choices. We are a specialist voluntary orgnaisation that works specifically with sexworkers (indoor and streetbased ) in Leeds and women and young people who are sexually exploited or who have experienced this in the past.
