Malawi is one of the 7 poorest countries in the world. In the 15 years since the charity was founded, a hospital, two orphanages, a feeding centre, a teaching garden, an audiology clinic and the Shrewsbury School eye clinic have all been established. In July a group of us from Shrewsbury will go out for 2 weeks to volunteer and interact with the Malawians. All the money we raise as a group will go straight to the charity: cataract operations (one operation costs £30), purchase medicines and provisions, improve facilities and repair the buildings, etc.
