We help people in Recovery from addiction to rebuild their life by sailing offshore.

Story

Founded by my late brother Dr Roger Crabtree. He bought Tectona, funded her restoration and imbued the project with his inspirational vision of Sail Training as a tangible means of rekindling self-worth for those in recovery from addictions and Mental Health issues. The Tectona Trust provides voyages of recovery using the 1928 gaff rigged ketch "Tectona" and the 1904 Porthleven built pilot cutter "Olga".  In common with many charities the Covid pandemic has severely curtailed fundraising and I am therefore entering my Hallberg Rassy Ketch 'Phoenix' for the Eddystone Pursuit in order to raise funds for the Trust.  This involves sailing from Plymouth to the Eddystone light  and back, a distance of about 26 miles.

Please sponsor me for this immeasurably worthwhile cause.

Dr Roger Crabtree strongly believed that voyaging on a traditional sailing vessel could help people of all ages, including adults with individual personal challenges. Sadly Roger has passed away. We are determined that his vision will be carried forward. Thank you for your help.
