Elliot was 18 months old when he was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia; a form of meningitis.  He was ventilated for 48 hours with a low percentage surivial rate.  We were told that if he did survive, he was unlikely to be the same child.  Elliot is a meningitis miracle.  Unfortunately, for every miracle, there is another family less fourtunate.
