21st Sept Update: Marathon completed in 4hrs 54 mins!! Thank you to all our support crew and everyone else who helped out.

On the 20th September 2009 myself, Sian, Helen and Jo from Warrington Rowing Club will be taking part in the Boston Rowing Marathon, an annual head of the river race over a 31 mile course on the River Witham between Lincoln and Boston (UK). Carol will our cox for the course.

We are raising money for 2 charities, Cancer Research (via this page) and the British Heart Foundation (via www.justgiving.com/Helen-Newns) in memory of family members, friends and colleagues who we have lost.

Sian, Jo and Helen have taken part in this event in previous years but this is my first go at this type of event. Training so far has been 'variable' but with some recent solid outings we are hoping the race will go well!
