Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A friend has recently informed me that half-marathons can be 'relaxing'. Whilst I have yet to discover this hidden zen in my training, I will nevertheless be taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon on Feb 16th.
To entice my kind-hearted friends and family to donate:
I'll be running for Scope, a charity which lends a hand to disabled people and their families in communities throughout the UK. Helping with after-school care, residential care and help with finding work, they work to improve the lives of our disabled citizens. Scope also run a programme which focuses on changing common attitudes to disabilities through education. A more worthy charity for my sweat (and most likely tears) is hard to come by.
All others who enjoy a cheap laugh (Mum):
It's going to be bloody traumatic and I'm a runner of the tomato-red-after-15-minutes variety (see prof pic).
I'm aiming to be gasping my way to the finish line in 2 hours 15, so any onlookers are welcome to come for support/to laugh/to have a pint after I've recovered.
