Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I love my job as a Consultant Haematologist at the Lister and QE2 Hospitals. I've met so many lovely patients and wonderful colleagues since I started working in the trust, and I have great memories of my medical student training at the Lister and QE2 as well being a house officer fresh out of medical school at the Lister.
This challenge of a lifetime is dedicated to all the patients my colleagues and I see and treat on the Forster Suite, the chemotherapy unit at the Lister Hospital, as well as the brilliant clinical, administrative and volunteer staff on the unit who keep things ticking.
I have never gone camping, and until a few weeks ago had never climbed a mountain (not sure if Cnicht 687m in the Snowdonia range counts...) I cannot imagine how I will survive with sleeping bags, tents and limited personal hygiene facilities, let alone the trek to 3,550 m altitude, but our patients and staff are worth it!
So please dig deep and donate now.
