Poppys Challenge 22

Sharon Kinnin is raising money for Autism NI (PAPA)

Challenge 22 · 22 March 2022

Autism NI is Northern Ireland’s main autism charity that was established 30 years ago. The charity exists to support over 35,000 autistic people and their families through a range of services across NI and campaigns for autism acceptance within society.

Story

I am Poppy and I am 5 years old. I have a diagnosis of Autism. I am fun, outgoing, full of craic, sweet and kind. I like to boss (alot!!), I just feel secure and it contents me when I have a sense of control, in a world that is unpredictable and can make me anxious. Just something I need to work through. If you meet me encourage me to give a high five as I am still learning about personal space. I love meeting people, going to the beach, going to the pool (I am mad about water!), love messy play, watching Spongebob Square Pants and best of all family time.

I hope you can spare a few bob as I Fundraise for this amazing charity to help reach out to other children and young people with autism so they can access services that are best suited for our needs. So my mummy has set me a challenge to do "22 starjumps for 22 days, bake 22 shortbread for 22 mouths, to be fed". Follow my pictures 📷😉I can do this💪. I am a chiller and have low muscle tone so the starjumps will be a challenge 😄 and following instructions can be tricky with the busy distracting world I live in, so baking with Granny will be fun!

22 is the theme because currently there are 1 in 22 NI School age children with an autism diagnosis. If you do feel it on your heart to support me doing Challenge 22 for the charity Autism NI then you can donate. You have the choice through here or personally donate money (just the original way through a fundraiser sheet where you can write your details on. Just contact my mummy, daddy or a family member and they can give you the sheet or add your details). Thank you for taking time to read my story, about my fundraiser and for your support. This is good for me too, to learn the importance of giving and helping others too as I undergo, Challenge 22!! I start Day 1  starjumps on Saturday, Let the challenge begin...
