Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2019 · 26 May 2019 ·

The Soil Association is the only UK charity which works across the whole spectrum of food issues. We focus on transforming how food is grown and produced, and making sure everyone has healthy, sustainable food to eat. We champion a world where people, farm animals and nature can thrive.

Story

Hello friends, nature lovers and charitable people. I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon this May bank holiday (26th May). It'll be the first time I run the marathon and I expect it'll be horrendous.

I'm sure by now you've all heard that our beautiful earth is in ruin and it's time we all did our small bit to help whatever way we can. I'm writing this on Earth Day and just as Extinction Rebellion is in full swing, so i'm hoping the gravity of the situation has sunk in and will persuade more of you into donating some sweet pennies (hopefully millions of pounds) to go towards The Soil Association.

The Soil Association is a charitable organisation in the UK that fights against intensive farming, better education on nutrition and local sourcing. As intensive farming is the main cause of ecosystem loss and insect decline, especially in pollinators like our beloved bees (who without them the world would die in about 4 years) it is an excellent charity to get behind if you want to see our natural environment improve.

So give me your money yeah, otherwise people will think you're a nature hater, and that's NOT COOL.

Peace and love. Poppy (maybe Paula after this). xx
