My name is Sarah Rixon (Rixy) and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have now completed my ride to Lisbon having cycled, unsupported, 3038km. Thank you so much for all your generous donations so far.

I've chosen to support a diabetes charity as my mum and college friend Fenella were both sufferers and as a consequence, sadly, are no longer with us. My dad and my friend 'Scouse' are also diabetics and living with the complications that brings. 

Recently, Scouse had a kidney transplant and whilst pretty weak he is very pleased to have had the operation as he no longer needs all those blood transfusions.
