Story
Thank you for taking time to visit our just-giving page.
As many of you may be aware, our dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in November 2016 and sadly his condition steadily declined over the past year and he eventually succumbed to his illness on 21 August 2018.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association helped our dad (and us as a family) immensely through what was a difficult and gruelling time fighting an unforgiving and insidious disease. They provided us with support in a number of ways - through access to a dedicated and specialist nurse and through the provision of aids and equipment that helped my dad day-to-day.
We want to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease as well as raising vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Everyone that knew our dad will remember him as a jovial, hardworking, kind soul that dedicated his life to helping others. During the latter part of his life he was supported by the Motor Neurone Disease Association and we would like to do all we can to show our appreciation. Please help us by reaching and exceeding our fundraising target of £3000 in loving memory of our dear dad.
Any donation, small or large, will contribute to making a difference to others affected by MND and will help further research into the disease. Thank you for supporting such a worthwhile cause.
