Preventing Extinction · 10 July 2020

Chester Zoo is a force for nature, working to save species and ensure nature can survive and thrive long into the future. At our Chester hub we care for 37,000 animals; 523 incredible species and also lead conservation projects in 19 countries. We couldn't do all that we do without your support.

My story:

I happen to watch 'This Morning' on ITV and saw the difficulties the zoos are facing during the lockdown. I have always loved watching the Chester Zoo's TV programme and have admired the dedication of the people who work there.

So my heart went out to them and the animals they care for. I thought 'I could help'. And do what I enjoy doing to help.

I pledge to make 30 unique elephant sculptures, each sculpture would be £330, from each sculpture sold, £300 would go to the amazing Chester Zoo.

So I hope to raise £9000

I would post these sculpture as I make them on my social media as well.

The image shows what they look like before and after.

I have been a regular donor to wildlife charities since I have started making elephant sculptures.

I am ceramic artist and grew up india. So elephants are part of our everyday life. I have real soft spot for them.

Help Chester Zoo and their programme.
