National three peaks challenge · 28 July 2018

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

The Team:

Jodie Wastell, Barnaby Wastell, Nick Wastell, Paul Davis, Samantha Eaves, Jonathon Eaves, Emma Hampson, Dave Hampson

On the back of our 2017 Yorkshire Three Peaks success we have decided this year to tackle the National event.

We will be starting Ben Nevis at 5pm on Friday 27th July and aim to be back down by 10pm where our wonderful support driver, Jonathon Eaves, will be waiting in the minibus for us. We will then drive through the night and arrive at Scarfell by 4am, starting the walk in the dark with head torches (I don't remember ever climbing it when it was sunny anyway!). We need to set of to Snowdon by 8am and start our final mountain by 1pm. Jonathan will be waiting with beers and blister plasters for everyone at the bottom of Snowdon at 5pm.

We are raising funds for the MS Society because it is a charity close to our hearts. Jodie and Samantha's mum, Susan (Jonathan's wife), is one of over 100,000 people in the UK suffering from MS. This disease is often painful and can cause problems with how people walk, move, see, think and feel. But it doesn't have to be this way.

The MS Society provides support, advice and research. Your donations could provide the following:

£5 - Could pay for laboratory essentials for important work stopping MS

£50 - Could pay for 10 calls to the MS Society helpline

£500 - Could provide a short break grant for someone with MS, giving them a chance to enjoy some quality time away

£1000 - Could run an MRI scanner for 4 hours to help understand more about MS

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Important: Emma and Dave PLEASE don't wear brand new boots for this one! Your blisters were disgusting last time!
