Project Macy

Project Macy · 19 January 2016
Macy is 14 and lives with her family in Liverpool. Macy has Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly, a condition where the brain has not developed properly, and Global Development Delay. She is visually impaired and registered blind. She uses a wheelchair but can also walk short distances. Macy loves being outside but at the moment she can only use the front garden and must be very closely supervised to keep her safe. This limits the time she can spend outside and makes her frustrated. We want to help Macy enjoy a little more independence and freedom.
Alongside the kitchen door there is a small area which we will be transforming into a safe space for Macy to use and that Mum can supervise from the kitchen window. We are going to create a sensory area for Macy and her family to enjoy and even add some musical items for her to play with as she loves making her own music!
