This charity is one of which has had personal significance to us since April 2019, when Mark was suddenly diagnosed with end stage kidney disease and 12% kidney function. This slowly declined to 8% and in October '19 Mark started peritoneal dialysis for 8 hrs every night. We are incredibly thankful that Mark will be able to recieve a kidney from a family member, Amy. However, this is not a cure and Mark will need another transplant in later life. Knowing that this is something that will impact our lives forever, we are seeing what we can do as a family to raise awareness and funds for Kidney Research UK.
