Story
My name is Pursha and in the summer of 2019, I lost my mother to suicide. During her lifetime she struggled valiantly with her mental health but always pushed herself to get the most out of life. She had the most contagious laugh, she would always sing at the top of her lungs, she would dance like no one was watching and most of all she would explore and find beauty in everything she did no matter how hard or challenging it was. She was an explorer in every sense of the word and my favourite memory of her will always be taking trips with her in the car with our music and singing Wonderwall while zooming down motorways. My mother loved all arts but most of all she loved literature and shared that passion by being an English teacher. She challenged herself to write and carried her notebook around with her everywhere she went. Everything was an inspiration to her. I want to be as fearless and amazing as my mother. The hole in my heart where she was can never be filled. Mind UK in my town helped my mum on many occasions and so I am reaching out to you all so that we can reduce the number of people in the UK that take their own lives. In honour of the fearless woman my mother was, I will be challenging myself to face my fear of heights and will do a tandem skydive on the 12th of June 2021. I ask you please donate if you can so that we can all help to save more lives.
Thank you
