Bristol Pride Without Borders helps LGBTQ+ people live in safety as asylum seekers and new refugees. They meet basic needs, organise queer friendly events, provide weekly support groups, and peer to peer support. Most importantly they carry out casework to support people's asylum claim based on gender and sexual orientation. Their hard work has resulted in 35 people securing their refugee status and enabled them to live freely in safety. After winning his court case with the support of PWB, Mohammed said: "I'm really thankful for PWB who gave me the confidence to live openly. Being accepted as a refugee by the courts has totally changed my life. Before I had a lot of stress and uncertainty, but since the day I received my status I have felt calm.
