10 Peaks Challenge · 6 December 2019

QCCF’s main activity focuses on fundraising support for community projects, voluntary organisations and individuals in the Queens Cross area of Glasgow, working to provide services for those who are disadvantaged and have particular needs.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Members of the Property, Enterprise and the Social Regeneration Team will be taking part in the first, of what we hope will be an annual, ’10 Peaks Challenge 2019’.

We are lucky enough to have ten of the finest multi-storey blocks in Glasgow in our areas.

Our plan is to climb from the bottom to the top of all ten blocks in our on the morning of Friday 6 December.

All sponsorship money from this foolhardy endeavour will be going to the Garscube Community Foundation.

To put this monumental task into perspective, climbing all four blocks at Westercommon, three at Cedar and three at Dundasvale is roughly equivalent to covering the distance of:

  • 189 African elephants
  • 23 Blue whales
  • 12 Nelson’s Columns
  • 4.6 London Eyes
  • 143 Double-decker buses
  • Half a Ben Nevis
  • 335 John Hamms

Any donations you make will be greatly appreciated. I hope we make it back alive.

Thank you,

Francis.
