Queens Hotel reaches for the skies to support Southsea Skatepark
Today September 14, one of the Queens Hotel custodians, Farid Yeganeh, took part in a 15,000ft skydive to raise much needed funds for the skate-boarding, BMX bike and scooter venue which is entirely self-funded. Farid says the experience has been absolutely unforgettable.
As well as a safe place to practice your skills, the venue has become a place where life-long friendships are formed. The Skatepark has achieved iconic status with visitors travelling from across the world including celebrities such as skateboard legend Tony Hawk since it opened in the 1930’s.
The Queens Hotel hopes money raised by the skydive - along with more than £2,000 raised by visitors to the hotel’s massively popular Summer Garden Parties - will help to ensure future generations can continue to enjoy the Skatepark for many years to come.
