Autism Guernsey is an independent charity which is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with autism and their families. We seek to share our knowledge and expertise with parents, carers and other professionals in order to support the development of skills and strategies needed to provide the best care and support. We have pioneered a number of services, events and clubs for both adults and children. As a registered Guernsey charity, Autism Guernsey receives no statutory financial backing, and all funds raised go towards work carried out in Guernsey. We provide a range of services, clubs and social groups for adults and children on the spectrum and their families or carers. These range from enabling children to take part in activities that they might otherwise find difficult, a personalised outreach service, to parent support groups, interest groups, youth groups and an advisory service.

Story

On 26 May 2013 Richard Avery-Wright and Bob Banfield will be joined by Yousof Khan and Ed Lawrence as the RAW Cycling Team to attempt this race. Our days of prime physical fitness are all distant memories making this a real challenge for all of us.

Richard then goes on to attempt the London - Paris event in mid June. This is made up of 3 consecutive days cyclying each over 100 miles in length and with plenty of hills to test him along the way.

Children and adults on the Autistic Spectrum have a lifetime of challenges – we hope this one off challenge will do something to help them through theirs.
