My story......My mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2002, She battled with it for four years but we where told that she may of had it alot longer, She went through strenuous chymo therypy. The nhs tried every thing they could, Unfortnuatley this cancer has spread and she developed a secondary cancer.

In her last months, mum developed a brain tumour, The doctors misdiagnosed her and could not give a reason for her swelling up so much, The end was inevitable and there was nothing more we could do, I visited her at the Rowcroft hopice everyday. I didn't go for one day and the next day i turned up she was dying, She held on for me. But she couldn't fight any longer. My mum is my inspiration and has given me new life to live for, My daughter Erin Susan was born 9 months later.

I am doing race for life not just for me but for everyone that has cancer, Loosing your mum is like the world crushing you and you know that you cant ever bring her back. Lets all work together and shows those with cancer that we care, Help others not just yourself........
