Story
In memory of my husband and for the sake of our children.
On 31 August 2007 we moved into our new family home. We were married just over a month later and looking forward to the birth of our second child.
Dez had been battleing cancer for some time but he was young, fit and very posative we would get through it. He wasn’t well over Christmas and New Year but we thought he’d soon pick up again as he often did but we were wrong. He suddenly went down hill and on Valentine’s day 2008, I held his hand as I watched my precious husband die.
At the same time, I was having pregnacy related problems with my liver and it had become too dangerous for me and the baby so they insisted I had to be induced 3 weeks early to get the baby out safely. I went straight from my husband’s funeral to the hospital and gave birth 3 days later.
Dez never had the chance to see his baby boy, it was too late for him but by raising money for Cancer Research we can help others.
