As some of you know two years ago I left for Thailand to teach children English.  Unfortunatley, during my time there I was rushed into hospital and underwent emergency surgery.  It was a very scary time and was hard being away from my family.  After spending two weeks in a strange Thai hospital i was released and had to wait before i could fly home.  Once home i was sent to a specialist in London and after some tests I was told I had cancer and started chemotherapy straight away.  I started on the lower strengths but when it wasnt working i moved up to the most aggressive type of chemo.  There were a few hard times along the way as the cancer spread to my lungs and the chemo seemed not to be working.  My amazing specialist up in London worked hard and finally the chemo started to work and in April 2012 i was given the all clear.  I wouldnt have coped so well if it wasnt for the support my friends and family gave me and the amazing work by my Specialist in London.
