A fight very close to our hearts; not just now, but throughout our lives.

I will be running Race For Life this year alongside my bezzie Lauren and my sister Tess & our Mom. We celebrate our Nan, Sylvia, getting the all clear after suffering with Breast Cancer many years ago, and having a second mastectomy recently means she's fighting fit once again!

And as many of you know Tess & I will run for our Dad. We have only faded memories of a Brain Tumour we named 'Ted' coming to visit him when we were kids; Dad came out the other side, stronger than ever. But unfortunately 18 years later, Ted decided to re-visit. After surgery on the 15th February 2011, Ted was removed. Our brave, fighting Dad never falters. After rehab and physio he learnt to walk again and get over the illness that drastically changed our world. Fighting literally one step at a time. We now support our Dad always & hope to never see those scary days ever again.

To anyone who has to witness a loved one suffer from this evil, I run for each and every one of you.  

I have a target of 300 quid! So dig deep, give all you can; even small amounts make such a difference.

And Together: we will beat cancer.
