I am running again with the wonderful ladies that I met on the St Thomas Hospital Ward in December 2009, following the various different surgeries we had to combat our own cancer diagnoses . Unfortunately Maggie Checkly with whom I ran across the finishing line last year, will not be running with us as she very sadly passed away earlier this year. She was an inspirational lady who so had so much to offer the world and who was taken away from us too soon. It is in her memory that I am doing the race for life this year and raising awarness and money to beat this disease.
