I'm going to run the Race for Life in Aberdeen on Sunday 3rd of July 2011 as a tribute to my brave, wonderful mother who was diagnosed with Advanced Terminal Esophageal Cancer in June 2010.

 

 

She has just finished 6 gruelling months of intense EOX Chemotherapy which has been so hard on her and for us all to watch her go through.

Through all the sickness, tears and fears she has managed to stay so upbeat and positive. She really is an inspiration to us all.

''Life is for living, never give up hope'' she says almost everyday. She is the most amazing person I know and i'm so proud of her for not letting this ugly cancer get the better of her.

So Mam, this race is for you, I love you with all my heart......Never give up, xxxxxx.

If Roses grow in Heaven,
please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.

Tell her, I love her and I miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.

Remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
