Race for Life London - Hyde Park 2011 · 17 July 2011 ·
Hello All,
I had originally planned on running this race on my birthday to do something a little different than the normal boozing.
As it turns out, I now have a real reason to run: in memory of my mother, Mercedes Llewellyn. She did not suffer from Cancer, but this is a race for LIFE, and seen as she lived it to the full, it seems the perfect way to spend the day.
As it is my birthday too, for any of you who may have considered getting me a wee prezzie - DON'T! Help more people to beat cancer instead by sponsoring my efforts or coming to cheer me over the finish line (bring me a beer if you do come!)... should only take me around 5 hours!!
Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer..
Don't forget to Gift Aid it if you're a UK taxpayer, and not some eternal-graduate (Stephanie Lis)!!! It basically means that your donation is increased by 25% at no cost to you.
Thanks for your support guys.
Lots of Love,
E-L
