Unfortunately My Mum, my Sister and two very close Uncles, one of which was more like a Dad to me than my real Dad, were not able to beat Cancer and are greatly missed from my life.

My Sister fought so bravely and for so many years, and to see her heartbroken children at her funeral is something that dwarfed even my own grief and some thing I really hope other people do not have to go through.

My Mum was my best friend, and can't be replaced and cared for my sister while receiving treatment herself, with great courage.

I have thought about doing Race for Life for many years, but as I have Fibromyalgia have always told myself I won't be able to do it, but this year is different, I have now lost over 2 stone in weight and I am determined with the support of my daughter I will.  If my Mum and my Sister could fight as bravely as they did, then surely I can walk 5KM for them, to stop others losing someone that they loved?
